Summer Glam Essentials
We are deep into Summer and we know sunglasses are a staple. People are riding beach cruisers, tanning, having rooftop BBQs, etc...all the while strutting their stuff in the latest "sunnies."
If you're going to be covering those lovely eyes of yours, that lipstick better be on point. If you still want to look like you put some effort into your life, you can't just let the sunglasses do all the work. Sure, I am under the firm impression that everyone looks good in sunglasses, but I mean that in the general sense. If you wake up in the morning and you look/feel like death, sunglasses are your go-to friend. Shoot, if you're taking blogging pictures, you maximize your chances of getting a good (fast) shot if you wear sunglasses.
Be that as it may, I don't want to see people getting lazy about their "sunglasses makeup." I am not suggesting you waste your time doing dramatic eye makeup if you're going to be in sunglasses all day (don't be absurd). I am, however, suggesting you choose a lipstick that will compliment your look. I also want to make sure people are choosing sunglasses that fit their face shape. I have high cheekbones and and a very defined jawline. I like sunglasses that are not so big that they hide my face shape.
I have pulled aside sunglasses and lipstick that pair nicely together. This particular pair is perfect for any glamorous woman who loves classic and timeless style.
Ever so fittingly, the lipstick is called, "Glamour Era" by MAC. This lipstick is part of their "Mineralize Rich Lipstick" line. Oh my goodness, I love how silky and smooth it makes my lips feel. This color can be described as mid-tonal, warm, brown frost. It is very soft, feminine, and classic... just how I like it!
The sunglasses are from Eye D Optics. You can find so many different frames on this website. You will literally fall in love with how affordable and stylish the glasses on this website are.
Funny backstory about these sunglasses: My friend and member of Zack's family, Jackie, sent me these sunglasses in two different colors (ombre and dark brown) and it was literally love at first sight. They have that chic, feminine, and classic vibe that I feel represents my personal style. You can purchase these beautiful "sunnies" and so many others here.
There you have it, my usual two cents. Just some food for thought. Keep these things in mind this Summer. Don't let the laidback atomsphere allow you to believe you should not make any effort. Glamour knows no seasonal boundary. Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall...we look cute during it all (Yeah, I think I'll patent that phrase).
