Capes and Camel

Capes and Camel

Winter is my favorite season. Granted, I live in Southern California so my winter looks different from most people's, but I digress... Since I don't get a ton of wear out of my winter clothes, I believe in classic pieces that will be considered chic through multiple winter seasons.

Camel is always a good idea. I think it's such a beautiful color that is almost always screams chic. When it comes to outerwear, I prefer to stick to classic colors that can be styles several ways. Who am I kidding? That is usually my overall style theory (with the exception of a few statement pieces). I just get more wear out of things that are more neutral tones or black and I can only speak on what I know. I want you to invest in things that are easy to pair. Start with neutrals/blacks and then add the funky stuff.

Capes and ponchos are easy to just throw on. No matter what you're wearing, you instantly look more sophisticated with a cape (just trust me). Think about it, I could be 500lbs under that cape and you would never know. Capes can mask that belly, a stain on your shirt, keep you cozy, the list knows no limit.

Therefore, if your poncho/cape game isn't strong, get to online shopping!
