Go-To Style Items: Confidence and Black
Today, I want to talk to you guys about two style items I simply can't live without. These are both very special to me and I think they look great on all people so I wanted to share. Now, allow me to preface this by saying these two things can be seen on me most days... not every day, but most.
Drum roll, please...
My go-to style items are confidence and black.
Black is such a common theme in minimalism and classic style. Its elegance knows no bounds and it looks good on literally everyone. I know this is contrary to what most people may say, but black makes me happy. Black is simple and sophisticated. It's sleek. It's chic. It's EVERYTHINGGG.
I love that.
This particular look is seriously something I could wear on repeat. A black bodycon turtleneck is something I think every woman should own. It is versatile beyond measure and it gives you the most beautiful air of refinement.
But girllllll, what outfit would be complete without confidence? I can't imagine taking all this time to get dolled up without holding my head high with confidence. If you come into the room with slouched shoulders (a tangent about good posture will be for another time) staring at the floor, what is the point of even trying? Hold your head high and walk like you love yourself. If an outfit doesn't make you feel good, you shouldn't be wearing it. You have to own your look and that starts within. So, don't you dare leave the house without some confidence.
People may try to knock us down during the day. Your boss might never recognize your work. Your parents may be too hard on you. Shoot, you may still be waiting on your prince charming. Whatever the case, self-love comes first. When you know, in your heart, that you're worth a million bucks, the world can't dictate your worth. You have already appraised yourself.
There you have it, my top go-to style items. If someone tells you that you wear too much black, they are wrong. No such thing. But if someone tells you you're nothing, you better tell them they're wrong too.
Let's let our lights shine brightly. They can't stop us if we don't let them.
