The Power of You

I’ve always found it terribly unfortunate that so many people allow others to define their self-worth. If you think about it, it is kind of insane to defer to others when it comes to determining how much value we have. Maybe you didn’t get into your dream school and that's always haunted you. Perhaps, you’ve been overlooked for a promotion time and time again and you’re at your wit’s end. The examples can be endless, but the sentiment remains: other people dictating what you are or are not worthy of.

Be Bright, Be YOU

I dare you to love yourself. I dare you to lift up other women and support them when you can. I dare you to fearlessly compliment others without ulterior motives. After all, someone else’s beauty does not detract from your own. I dare you to, unapologetically, be the best version of yourself. A world where all women are secure, that's the world I want to live in.

We Came to SLAY the Patriarchy

My generation is not here for the Bill O'Reilly version of "great." Check the stats. Millennial women are largely strong, with high self-esteem. We don't need Donald or Bill to tell us to stay in the kitchen. We are the girlboss generation.

Too Busy Makin' My Own Waves

Kid Cudi's newest single, "Surfin'," reminds me of  just that. Marching to the beat of my own drum, not worrying about what other people think you should be doing, and making your own way. Get rid of people who drag you down or encourage to do be anything other than who God made you do be. You don't have your talents (and faults) for no reason. Our talents are to be shared, but so are our faults! You never know who needs to hear your story.

I Always Feel Better In The NUDE (Lipstick, that is)

My entire life, my dad has always stressed to me, "you do not want to be a 'one dimensional' person." So...I am not a one dimensional person, nor will I ever be. For me, I love all things glamorous and girly. From day one of my life, I have been the quintessential girly girl. On the flip-side, I would like to consider myself quite the intellectual... if I do say so myself.
